The adventure continues...

We opened the Desert Bistro in September 2001 in a quaint little space on Center Street (currently Singha Thai Cuisine). In February 2005, we moved into the Grand Old Ranch House at Moab Springs Ranch. After 7 wonderful seasons in that lovely oasis, we purchased the building and site where the restaurant now resides in the fall of 2011. We spent the fall and winter renovating this charming little building, installing a commercial kitchen as well as the covered, outdoor patio. The remodel was extensive, but well worth it - we feel the warmth, charm & character of the building were very much retained & we love the location, right in the heart of downtown, yet a block away from the hustle & bustle of Main Street.
Our new home: We opened in our new space in March 2012. The main portion of the building which encompasses the entry & dining areas was built in 1892 as the original dance hall in Moab. A pretty colorful history...it became a private home/ranch for the Wilson brothers and then the Holyoak family for a large portion of it's life; it has housed many businesses over the past few decades including a mortuary, law offices, the first location for the Advertiser, a feed store and a popular restaurant in the 90's called the Fat City Smokehouse.
Our goal: To excite your senses with some "out of the norm" and adventurous food while enjoying a relaxed atmosphere with friendly, attentive service. We hope you'll join us and agree!
